On Saturday, August 29, 2026, as an eve festival, a barrier-free screening with subtitles of the movie '104-Year-Old Tetsuyo-san's Life Alone' will be held. The screening starts at 14:00 and is scheduled to end around 16:00. Participation is free, but a numbered ticket is required. Numbered tickets are distributed at the Ikeda Town Council of Social Welfare, the Family Register and Pension Division counter at Ikeda Town Hall, Denen Hall, Ikeda Town Health Center, Ikeda Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ikeda Town Library, and Northern Community Center. For the main festival on Sunday, August 30, venue preparation begins at 9:15, and the Exchange Plaza, Hands-on Experience Plaza, Ai no Mise (Shops of Love), and others will open from 10:00. The closing ceremony will be held from 13:30. The theme of this year's challenge project is 'Find the Town Heroes! What Does This Person Do?', aiming to connect children and adults. People active in Ikeda Town appear as 'Town Resident Cards,' and children can take on 'Conversation Missions' to collect the cards. On stage, a performance of 'COCORO no Tsubasa' is also scheduled, where the entire venue can enjoy dancing. This event nurtures bonds with local people and is packed with activities for children to enjoy.
