Held in Yamagata City, Gifu Prefecture, the "Yamagata City Hometown Chestnut Festival 2026" is an event where visitors can savor chestnuts, a true autumn delicacy. At the venue, in addition to enjoying various chestnut-based gourmet dishes, a new "Three 'Yamagata' Corner" will be established to commemorate the "Yamagata" partnership between Yamagata City in Yamagata Prefecture, Yamagata Village in Nagano Prefecture, and Yamagata City in Gifu Prefecture. Here, local specialties from each region will be sold—such as tama-konnyaku (round konjac balls) and local sake from the Tokai Yamagata Prefectural Association, and soba noodles and agricultural produce from Yamagata Village, Nagano Prefecture—allowing visitors to enjoy the tastes of distant "Yamagata" regions. Stage events are also abundant: guest appearances including Hiroshi Miyama on a Gifu Chan Radio public live broadcast, and comedians like Matenrou and Raipachi Imai enlivening the venue on the Yoshimoto Comedy Stage. Furthermore, visitors can enjoy the "Hanagasa Dance" by the Tokai Yamagata Prefectural Association, kick-target games by FC Gifu, and various recreational experiences. Because parking around the venue is limited, visitors are encouraged to use the free shuttle buses operated from Yamagata City Hall, Yamagata Bus Terminal, Ozakura Ground, and other locations.
