About this event

This special exhibition focuses on Tokugawa Ieyasu, an important figure in the Toyotomi regime. Focusing on Ieyasu's actions under the Toyotomi regime, such as the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute that led him to submit to Hideyoshi, and his marriage to Asahi-hime, the younger sister of Hideyoshi and Hidenaga, it reveals the figure of Ieyasu before becoming Ogosho (retired shogun). The exhibition displays valuable materials including a Paulownia Crest Makie Meal Tray, Gunbai War Fan, Sumpu Castle Gold Leaf Roof Tile, Sword with Inscription 'Made with Nanban Iron in Sunshu Echizen Yasutsugu', Tokugawa Ieyasu Prohibition Order, Backpack Battle Drum, Map of the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute in Bishu, Toyotomi Hideyoshi Red Seal Letter, and the Yokota Village Regulations.
