"2026 Iwata Summer Festival Fireworks Display", a summer tradition of Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture, will be held at a special venue at Fukuda Fishing Port. The charm of this fireworks festival is the proximity between the fireworks and the spectator seats, allowing you to watch powerful fireworks up close right in front of you. The vivid fireworks shining on the sea surface will be an emotional sight signaling the end of summer. Around the venue, stalls and food trucks offering shaved ice, yakisoba, and other foods will line up, bustling with families and young people in yukata. A free shuttle bus is scheduled to run from the north exit of JR Mikuriya Station, making access convenient. The fireworks display is scheduled to last for 60 minutes, and the typical turnout reaches about 72,000 people. It will proceed in light rain, but will be cancelled in the event of stormy weather.
