The 29th Jubilo Iwata Memorial Marathon

About this event

The '29th Jubilo Iwata Memorial Marathon' held in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a half marathon race starting and finishing at Yamaha Stadium, the home ground of J.League's Jubilo Iwata. Held in Iwata City with easy access from major cities in Kanto, Kansai, and Hokushinetsu, it features a flat and easy-to-run course. With a maximum elevation difference of 25m, the course makes it easy to aim for personal records, and on clear days, Mt. Fuji can be seen. Along the roadside, warm cheers from local residents ranging from kindergarteners to seniors encourage runners all the way to the finish. Cheers from Jubilo Iwata players are also given at Yamaha Stadium. Water stations offer Iwata's specialty Raion Melon and strawberries, and many food stalls serving Iwata gourmet will be set up at the venue. Participation prizes include assortments of Iwata local products and famous confectioneries. With soccer and rugby clinics for elementary school students (grades 1 to 4) and divisions where costume runners can participate, it is a welcoming event for families and friends.
