16th Daito-Osuka Light Railway Romance Walk

Set in the Daito and Osuka areas of Kakegawa City, this is a walking event that tours the former station sites of the Sun-en Line, a light railway that once supported the region. Participants can enjoy a nostalgic atmosphere while tracing the station sites that retain traces of those days. At the goal point, Liberty Resort Daito Onsen, cold tea and "Daito Croquettes" made with plenty of locally produced onions and carrots will be served. In addition, an exciting lottery will delight participants with chances to win local specialties and admission passes provided by sponsors. A 15 km course and a 7 km course are available, allowing you to choose a course that matches your physical fitness. Another attractive point is that elementary school students and younger can participate for free when accompanied by a guardian. This event will be a wonderful opportunity to spend a heartwarming time while experiencing the local history and nature.
