Japanese name:黄金のランタンナイト<土肥金山>
📅 Tue, Sep 22, 2026 - Wed, Sep 23, 2026
About this event
"Golden Lantern Night" will be held over 2 days on Tuesday (Holiday), September 22 and Wednesday (National Holiday), September 23, 2026, at Toi Gold Mine in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. In this magical event, golden-colored lanterns carrying wishes will float into the autumn night sky all at once. Toi Gold Mine, which closed down in 1965, had part of its sightseeing tunnels renovated and reopened at the end of 2025, setting the stage for a special autumn evening. Why not spend a unique experience characteristic of Toi Gold Mine with your family, friends, or loved ones? Because lantern exchange tickets are limited in quantity, advance reservations are recommended. On the event days, reception opens at 17:00, and lantern launches begin at 18:30. Admission tickets are 500 yen per person (free for preschool children), and lantern exchange tickets are 6,000 yen per lantern (up to 4 people per lantern). In addition to the lantern fee, admission fees for the corresponding number of people are required. For example, if 4 adults share 1 lantern, the total is 8,000 yen (6,000 yen lantern fee plus 2,000 yen admission), which comes to 2,000 yen per person. Event details may change or be canceled depending on weather and other conditions, so please check in advance.
