Held at Terabe Beach in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture, the "Hazu Stone Cup Challenge Race 2026" is a handmade raft race event set in Mikawa Bay. Participants board handmade rafts and challenge a timed race around buoys floating in the sea. Immersive live commentary reminiscent of auto racing and performances and sound effects by synthesizers enliven the event. This year, returning to its origins, a new division where participants start and finish on handmade rafts has been newly established. It is an event that everyone from children to adults can enjoy, not just the raft race. Three divisions—Expert, DIY, and Survival Raft—are prepared, each competing over different distances and rules. Advance registration is required to participate, with team entry fees and individual entry fees set. In case of stormy weather, it will be postponed to the following week.
