About this event

The 'Tahara City SDGs Festa 2026' is an integrated event combining the '18th Gender Equality Festival,' which aims to raise awareness of gender equality toward realizing 'Tahara, a town where everyone can shine in their own way,' and 'Tahara Eco Festa 2026,' an environmental event promoting the Tahara Eco Garden City Concept. Citizen activity groups, businesses, and the local government collaborate to provide opportunities to enjoyably learn about the SDGs through hands-on experiences. On the day of the event, the reuse event 'Kirari☆Takaraichi' and the 'SDGs Stamp Rally'—where participants can visit exhibitor booths to receive prizes—will be held. In addition, there will be exhibits of living creatures inhabiting the Shiokawa tidal flat, sales of recycled books, a traveling pop-up exhibit of the Yoshigo Shell Mound Museum, and displays of award-winning essays on gender equality awareness. Hands-on workshops, craft experiences, and novelty giveaways by citizen activity groups and businesses are planned, along with the sale of food and goods such as bento box lunches, bread, and lemonade. A gender equality workshop titled 'What Is Me-Time?' will also be held, featuring Associate Professor Shotaro Iwanai from Toyohashi University of Technology as the lecturer.
