About this event
The "Celebration of Niinamesai 6th Divine Gratitude Ise New Sake Festival," held throughout Okage Yokocho in Ise City, Mie Prefecture on Monday (National Holiday), November 23, 2026, is a festival celebrating the Niinamesai harvest ritual conducted at the Grand Shrine, dedicating and presenting that year's newly brewed sake (shinsu). Giving thanks for this year's bountiful harvest, it is held as a "Naorai Feast" to present the newly brewed sake to everyone after offering it to Ise Jingu. This is an opportunity to compare and taste sake from 27 representative breweries in Mie Prefecture and 53 breweries gathered from across Japan all at once, allowing visitors to thoroughly enjoy the freshly brewed sake packed with this year's rich bounty and flavor in the land of Ise. The event also plans appearances by Miss SAKE, performances of Shinen Taiko drums, and a sake tasting competition. On the day, a free shuttle bus will also operate between "Sushikyu" and "Isuzugawa Station." This festival is a banquet to enjoy while sharing the joy of the harvest with gratitude for the bounty.
