Konan City Autumn Festival 2026 will be held on Monday (national holiday), November 23, 2026, at the special venue in front of Cocopia (Konan City Citizen Industrial Exchange Promotion Facility), from 10:00 to 15:00. The day kicks off with an opening ceremony and smoke signal at the Mikumo Castle ruins, followed by diverse stage events such as performances by the Ishibe Taiko Preservation Society, a kids' palanquin race, a children's loud voice contest, the 1st Konan City Best Singer Competition, and a Tyrannosaurus hip sumo contest. A mochinage (rice cake toss) hosted by Muroto City is also scheduled. Food stalls will offer yakisoba, yakitori, karaage fried chicken, frankfurters, french fries, beef skewers, candy apples, Omi pickles, chocolate-covered bananas, marshmallow skewers, and more. The kids' palanquin race and loud voice contest accept same-day registration with free participation, and all participants receive snacks. Partner municipalities—Pippu Town in Hokkaido, Hokuei Town in Tottori Prefecture, Muroto City and Toyo Town in Kochi Prefecture—will also host booths. Concurrently held on the same day are the Aeon Town Konan 11th Anniversary Festival, JA Koka Cocopia Anniversary Festival, Konan City HAT Facility Event, and the 9th Konan City Sports Festival. The event proceeds in rain but will be canceled in severe weather. Parking for approximately 1,500 passenger cars is available.
