About this event
Starting from Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture, this course looks out at Hikone Castle from mountain castles overlooking the old inner lake (Naiko). It is a hiking event to fully enjoy history and nature during the prime season for mountain castle walking. Held as a JR Fureai Hiking event, it qualifies for a commemorative participation card. Covering a distance of approximately 15 km in about 6 hours and 30 minutes, it can be considered a course for strong walkers. You can experience Shiga Prefecture's history while enjoying the remains of mountain castles and lakeside scenery.
