Kehara Terraced Rice Fields Experience Tour: Autumn Rice Harvesting

This tour offers a hands-on harvesting experience for sake rice and Koshihikari rice in the scenic Kehara Terraced Rice Fields, selected as one of "Japan's Top 100 Terraced Rice Fields". While feeling the joy of autumn harvest firsthand, visitors can enjoy the beautiful terraced rice field scenery often regarded as quintessential Japanese countryside landscape. Advance reservation is required for the experience. Event hours are from 9:30 to 14:30. Access to the venue is about a 20-minute walk from Oe-Yamaguchi-Naiku Station on the Kyoto Tango Railway Miyafuku Line, or about 10 minutes by taxi from Oe Station. It is also accessible in about 20 minutes from Maizuru-Oe IC on the Kyoto Jukan Expressway (Ayabe-Miyazu Road). Free parking is available. This tour is organized by the Kehara Terraced Rice Fields Experience Tour Executive Committee.
