'Maizuru Nature School: Creature Hunt in the Upper Reach of the Ikeuchi River' will be held in Maizuru City. This event aims for parents and children to enjoy collecting and observing creatures such as fish and aquatic insects in the upper reaches of the Ikeuchi River, which is surrounded by rich nature. It will be a valuable opportunity to experience the beautiful nature of Maizuru and deepen understanding of living creatures. Participants can experience something rare in daily life while sensing local nature with all five senses. The event is organized by the Association for Making Maizuru's Rivers and Seas Beautiful and the Maizuru Environmental Citizens Council, and participation is free. Participants of elementary school age and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. The capacity is 35 people across 16 groups, accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The application period is from 9:00 AM on Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 14. The meeting place is the open square in front of Kishiya Community Center.
