The "Chakabuki Experience," held as a special project by the Uji Tea Dojo "Takumi-no-Yakata," is a "tea-tasting and tea-guessing game" where participants taste several types of tea and identify the differences. This time, it is a special program that combines a lecture by a curator from the Uji City Tale of Genji Museum on the theme of "Tea Culture and the World of Genji-ko Spread During the Edo Period" with the Chakabuki experience. The Chakabuki will be conducted in a format incorporating the elegance of Genji-ko incense games, allowing you to experience the depth of tea culture continuing from the Edo period while enjoying the differences in aroma and taste of Uji Gyokuro, Uji Tencha, and Uji Sencha. It is a rare opportunity to experience Uji tea and The Tale of Genji—representative cultural resources of Uji—at the same time.
