About this event
Held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, the 'Tsurugaoka Summer Festival 2026' is a local festival held in the open square in front of Tanasen. Summer-exclusive attractions such as stage shows, large-scale dance (Dai-odori), night stalls, and agematsu (torches hoisted on poles) are scheduled, making it especially recommended for locals and families with children. It runs from 18:00 to 21:30, and admission is free, while food and drinks are charged. Food stalls (street vendors) and restrooms will also be set up at the venue. Since it is held on a Saturday, crowds are expected. Access by car is recommended as it is far from the station, and parking is available.
