80th Kyoto Nantan City Fireworks Festival

Held in Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, the "80th Kyoto Nantan City Fireworks Festival" is a historic fireworks display set against the backdrop of the Oi River. In addition to approximately 2,000 to 3,000 launched fireworks including starmines, visitors can enjoy Niagara Falls fireworks reflected on the river surface and a drone light show. Usually held around summer, it also features street stalls and stage events. From the evening, a floating lantern ceremony (toro nagashi) takes place on the Oi River, creating a magical atmosphere. Size 2 shells will be launched, creating a scene that expands to a bloom radius of 25 meters. The event will be held rain or shine, but may be postponed in the event of severe weather. The venue is easily accessible, located about a 10-minute walk from JR Yagi Station.
