Tour Tracing the History of the Kaya Railway and Chirimen Kaido

This tour explores the historical heritage of the former Kaya Railway and strolls along the Chirimen Kaido, a nationally designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Traveling by large tour bus, you can experience railway history at the former Kaya Railway Kaya Station building and museum, which strongly retain the atmosphere of the past. In addition, savor Yosano local specialties Tango Bara-zushi and Yosano Udon at the historic Former Kaya Town Hall, and view the special exhibition "Memorable Kayatetsu" at the Former Bito Family Residence. Enjoy this alongside the charming townscape of the Chirimen Kaido. Tour participants will receive four special gifts: two bottles of craft beer "ASOBI" made with Yosano-grown hops, a set of five postcards commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Kaya Railway's opening, an original clear file featuring the nationally designated Important Cultural Property No. 2 Locomotive, and an admission ticket to the Former Bito Family Residence, also an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
