"SAKANA&JAPAN FESTIVAL (Fish Japan Fest) 2026 in Expo'70 Commemorative Park" is a gourmet event featuring around 50 booths centering on seafood dishes from across the country, held from October 2 to October 4, 2026, at the Festival Plaza of Expo'70 Commemorative Park in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture. This marks the 4th edition held at Expo'70 Commemorative Park, and starting from this edition, the timing has been shifted from spring to autumn. At the venue, seafood bowls, local regional dishes, fisherman meals, seafood ramen, and seafood okonomiyaki made with tuna, salmon, crab, oysters, sea urchin, salmon roe, and more will be sold. As a specialty signature item, "Overflowing Jewelry Bowl of Alaska Sockeye Salmon Roe and Herring Roe" will make an appearance. In addition, "Full of Charm! Fukushima Festival" will be held concurrently, offering sweets made with seafood and fruits from Fukushima Prefecture. The highlight menu item "Seared Rosy Seabass and Marinated Flounder Bowl" makes its debut at the Osaka venue. Live music performances, comedy stages, and bingo tournaments will be held on the special stage, and inflatable bounce houses will be set up for children. The admission fee is 500 yen (free for elementary school students and younger), while the Expo'70 Commemorative Park entrance fee and food/drink costs are required separately.
