About this event
Held as a major autumn event in the Fujishirodai district, 'Fujishiro Festa' aims to deepen bonds among local residents across generations. While community organizations have seen declining vitality since the COVID-19 pandemic, new residents are increasing due to ongoing development, making ties with the local community prone to weakening; this festival seeks to address these challenges by strengthening community strength. The festival hosts a variety of events such as a citizens' athletic meet, children's festa, a lunch gathering for elderly living alone, a respect-for-the-aged festa, and blood donation, providing an opportunity for people of all ages from children to seniors to participate and experience a sense of unity where the community looks out for one another. It will be held at the grounds and gymnasium of Fujishirodai Elementary School, led by officers and members of local community organizations.
