Minoh Orange Fair 2026: VR Dementia Simulation Experience

About this event

Minoh City will hold "Minoh Orange Fair 2026" as part of its Dementia Awareness Month initiatives. At this event, you can use VR (Virtual Reality) technology to simulate and experience the anxiety and confusion that people with dementia feel in their daily lives. By standing in the person's shoes regarding questions like "Why do they ask the same thing repeatedly?" or "What kind of troubles are they facing?", you can gain new insights. After the experience, time is provided for explanations by instructors and sharing impressions among participants, making it a valuable opportunity to think deeply about dementia and reconsider how to interact with people close to you. The event is for individuals aged 13 and older due to age restrictions on using VR equipment. Temporary childcare is also available (application required).
