Expo '70 Commemorative Park will host the 'Expo '70 Commemorative Park Cosmos and Kochia Festival 2026' from Saturday, October 3 to Friday, October 30, 2026. At the 'Flower Hill' in the Natural and Cultural Gardens, approximately 150,000 cosmos flowers bloom in rich colors, offering beautiful scenery that stands out against the autumn sky. Visitors can enjoy various cosmos varieties, including Sensation Mix, pure white Sensation White, and bright Yellow Cosmos. Furthermore, approximately 3,600 kochia bushes reaching their peak turn vibrant red, creating a breathtaking ensemble with the cosmos. The fluffy, soft appearance of kochia is a must-see. In addition, guests can thoroughly enjoy Flower Hill adorned with a variety of autumn flowers, such as Muhlenbergia with its dreamy pink plumes and red buckwheat flowers that turn deep pink as temperatures drop. During the period, many related events will also be held to enjoy cosmos and kochia. Planned events include 'Yoshimoto Fureai Molkky', where visitors can try Molkky with Yoshimoto comedians; 'Forest Concert' by a brass band; 'Autumn Delicious Petit Marche', gathering popular shops from Hokusetsu; and 'Yorimichi Kitchen Garden', where curated gourmet dishes and drinks can be enjoyed. Photo sessions by professional photographers and various workshops will also be held, making it ideal for making autumn memories. Visitors can also enjoy the art piece '(Mushikui) Garden Path' leading to Flower Hill. Some shops within the park will also sell Cosmos and Kochia Festival limited-edition menus.
