Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway Co., Ltd. will hold the "Kitakyu Fureai Festival" to allow passengers along the line and railway fans to feel closer and more familiar with the railway. At the Momoyamadai Depot, which is normally off-limits, a variety of programs are prepared for children of junior high school age and younger. Main program highlights include a conductor job experience (paid), a model train running corner, Kitakyu de GO! train simulator, POLESTAR mini-train ride experience, commemorative photo taking in uniform, headmark & motor car photo opportunities, sale of original Kitakyu merchandise, quiz rally, and more. In addition, there will be a workshop "Let's Make a Kitakyu Kids Conductor Hat!" (materials fee only), Hankyu Bus vehicle display, and special food stalls featuring chiffon cake, Yamaguchi Natto, soy milk okara donuts, roasted sweet potatoes, and more. While some programs are paid or require advance lottery entry, admission is free. The event uses an advance lottery application system, with the application period running from Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 14:00 to Wednesday, October 14 at 23:59. It is open to children of junior high school age and younger along with their guardians, up to 5 people per group. On the day of the event, bringing official identification such as an Individual Number Card (My Number Card) may be required.
