About this event
"Takatsuki Shogi Festival" will be held in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture. In this 5th edition, set in Ama Site Park, various programs are prepared for visitors to experience the fun of shogi. On the main stage, public pair matches and talk shows featuring male and female professional shogi players will take place. In addition, advance-registration programs will be held, including parent-child instructional matches, tsumeshogi (shogi puzzle) lectures, trial lessons & matches of the introductory shogi toy "Hanitan Shogi", and an autograph session with the author of the comic "Shogi no Watanabe-kun". Visitors can also enjoy making original shogi pieces, a free match corner, a shogi gourmet & sweets area, and sales of related books and goods. It is an event that can be enjoyed not only by shogi fans but also by families.
