6th Hirakata City Exhibition

About this event

Hirakata City Performing Arts Center will host the "6th Hirakata City Exhibition." This open-call juried art and craft exhibition is inviting entries in the categories of Japanese-style painting, Western-style painting/prints, crafts, sculpture/3D art, calligraphy, and photography. Anyone aged 15 or older as of April 1, 2026 (Reiwa 8) can apply, regardless of professional or amateur status, place of residence, or nationality. In each category, awards such as the Mayor's Award (supplementary prize of 30,000 yen), Special Judges' Award (supplementary prize of 10,000 yen), and Encouragement Awards will be selected. The entry fee is 1,000 yen per artwork, but it is free for those born on or after April 2, 2008 (Heisei 20). Following the artwork submission period, the exhibition will take place from Wednesday, December 16 to Monday, December 21, 2026, at the Hirakata City Performing Arts Center Main Building.
