Izumisano Danjiri Festival: Seven-Town United Parade
Japanese name:泉佐野だんじりまつり「七町連合パレード」
📅 Sun, Sep 27, 2026
About this event
The "Seven-Town United Parade," bringing together seven neighborhoods from southern Izumisano City—Kaminogo, Nagataki, and Yasumatsu—will be held again this year. Seven danjiri floats will parade heroically along Prefectural Route 30 in this annual autumn tradition where spectators can witness powerful "yarimawashi" turns up close. In particular, at the Nagataki-Higashi Intersection, the danjiri perform dynamic high-speed turns ("yarimawashi") at full momentum, allowing visitors to feel the heat and sheer power of the festival. The supervising neighborhood (nenban-cho) for 2026 is "Kaminogo Nakamura." Starting from 2026, the parade order of the Seven-Town United Parade has been established and will rotate sequentially each year. Food trucks are also scheduled to set up around the venue, letting visitors enjoy the autumn festival atmosphere alongside the thrilling float processions. Access is convenient, taking about 20 minutes by train from Kansai International Airport to JR Nagataki Station. This is a great opportunity to experience Japan's traditional autumn festival heritage preserved in Izumisano up close. Highlights include the impressive parade featuring all seven danjiri together, the dynamic "yarimawashi" performed at the Nagataki-Higashi Intersection, and the unique floats and procession styles of each neighborhood, along with festive food trucks in the area.
