16th Kashiwara Citizens General Festival

The Kashiwara Citizens General Festival is an event to deepen exchanges among local residents, held under the themes of "Fostering Human Connections" and "Regional Revitalization." In fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8), it is scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 31 at the Yamato River Bed Green Park in front of Kashiwara City Hall. At the Citizens Festa, you can enjoy various stage events such as singing, dancing, and musical instrument performances by children, high school students, and civic groups. At the Commerce and Industry Festival, local product exhibitions, mock stalls, and exhibition booths by city enterprises and organizations will be set up. At the Sports Festival, sports events that anyone can enjoy—such as ground golf, ring toss, and physical fitness tests—are prepared. At the Environment Fair (31st Environment Village), there are plenty of programs full of tips for eco-friendly living, and the grape stem workshop art symbolizing Kashiwara City is also a must-see. In the Kawachi Ondo Dance National Competition, Kawachi Ondo dances will be performed in elaborate costumes, followed by an all-participant dance (So-odori) at the end. For children's events, Self-Defense Forces, police, and fire department vehicle displays & commemorative photo ops, festival stalls, a flea market, and inflatable play equipment are gathered, offering content that everyone from small children to adults can enjoy. Note that the Kashiwara Fireworks will not be held at this year's Citizens General Festival.
