'Nawate Sports Festival 2026', held in Shijonawate City, is an event where visitors can experience various sports. Inviting Wakana Nagahara, who represented Japan in badminton at the Tokyo and Paris Olympics, a special lecture and clinic will be held. In the pickleball experience, participants can enjoy a sport originating in the United States that combines elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. In addition, a new play booth for small children will be newly established. A rich variety of programs enjoyable by everyone from children to the elderly, whether alone or with family and friends, are prepared, including popular annual sports experiences, health checks (physical fitness tests, physical age diagnosis), and recreational sports experiences. In the parking lot of the Municipal General Gymnasium, 8 food stalls including food trucks and a stall by Kihoku Town will open to add to the lively atmosphere. With Ms. Nagahara's exhibition match and the 'Challenge Nawate Records! Dodgebee Long Throw' also scheduled, it will be a day to fully enjoy the autumn of sports.
