Jizo Bon Dance Gathering

Held at the Children's Peace Plaza at Chofukuji Temple in Kuraji, Katano City, the 'Jizo Bon Dance Gathering' is a local festival held every year on August 23 and 24. Celebrating the feast day of Jizo Bosatsu, children take center stage at this event to pray for the peace and well-being of the local community. Running from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the evening, it deepens interactions among local residents through Bon dancing. As a traditional end-of-summer tradition, this festival is deeply rooted in the community.
