This is participant recruitment information for the "Hirakata City Citizens General Cultural Festival 2026," where citizens present their everyday cultural activities. The exhibition division is calling for entries in three genres—painting, calligraphy, and photography—providing an opportunity to present the results of daily creative activities. For paintings, about 80 works including Japanese-style paintings, oil paintings, and watercolor paintings are sought; for calligraphy, about 70 works including Kanji, Kana, modern poetry, small character count, and seal carving; and for photography, about 70 works including portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and seascapes. In all categories, eligibility is open to individuals born on or before April 2, 2010. The Tanka division seeks works with the assigned topic "Chair" or free topic, while the Haiku division seeks works with the assigned seasonal topic "Cosmos" (autumn kigo) or "Mountain" (free season). Kazumi Tanaka will serve as the Tanka judge, and Kazumi Hiraishi will serve as the Haiku judge.
