Japanese name:第5回 水都くらわんか花火大会

📅 Sun, Sep 20, 2026

📍 Hirakata, Osaka

About this event

Held across Hirakata City and Takatsuki City in Osaka Prefecture, the "5th Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival" is a large-scale event set along the Yodo River bank featuring not only fireworks lighting up the night sky, but also drone shows, music stages, and gourmet food. In 2026, 4,877 fireworks are scheduled to be launched, which includes 4,777 shells matching the number of children born in 2025 across Hirakata City, Takatsuki City, and Katano City, plus 100 memorial shells. This reflects the local spirit of "life" and "prayer," serving as a unique hallmark of this festival. The fireworks launch is scheduled for 19:10, featuring displays including a drone show so visitors can enjoy the light effects and the impact of the fireworks simultaneously. The event starts at 15:00, offering corporate PR booths, a children's festival fair (ennichi), the Suito Music Festival stage, kitchen cars, and food and beverage booths prior to the fireworks. Two venues along Yodogawa Riverside Park are planned—the Hirakata venue and the Takatsuki venue—with an expected total attendance of around 300,000 people. Free viewing areas are available for casual visits, and paid reserved seats are also planned. There is no parking, and the use of public transportation is recommended. The event will proceed rain or shine, but will be canceled in severe weather.
