About this event
"Revive! Yodogawa River Boat Transport" conveys to modern times the history of water transport that once developed around the Yodogawa River. On this autumn service, you can leisurely experience the charm of the waterfront, history, and culture within a calm seasonal atmosphere that differs from spring. Spending time reminiscing about the old days of boat transport while surrounded by clear air and gentle waters is a special autumn charm. Through views from the waterfront and experiencing connections with the town, you can deeply appreciate the history and culture of Hirakata. This project is conducted as an initiative to rediscover the value of boat transport as a local resource and pass it down to future generations. Aboard the houseboat-style sightseeing boat "Ebisu-go," you can enjoy a generous cruise of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes while listening to stories related to the Yodogawa River. It includes an admission ticket to the "Hirakata-shuku Kagiya Museum," allowing you to thoroughly learn the history of Hirakata-shuku at the museum. Friends, families, and solo travelers alike can relax and enjoy this seasonal boat journey. It is also recommended for those who want to experience a different kind of Osaka sightseeing. You can also experience the water level adjustment at the Kema Lock up close.
