4th Shimamoto Fureai Festa

About this event

The "4th Shimamoto Fureai Festa" will be held at the Shimamoto Town Human Rights and Cultural Center. At the food and game stalls, visitors can enjoy yakisoba fried noodles, frankfurters, french fries, fried chicken, mitarashi dango, shaved ice, traditional snacks (dagashi), beverages, loaf bread, takosen (octopus cracker sandwiches), lottery prize games, super ball scooping, and more. From 2:00 PM, a powerful performance by a Japanese taiko drumming class in the town will be presented. Additionally, following last year, the "Oyuzuri-kai" (giveaway exchange) will be held, where visitors can take home still-usable toys, clothing, and miscellaneous items free of charge. The "Shimamoto Environmental Festival" to learn about the environment in a fun way, as well as an original uchiwa fan crafting workshop using computers (first 48 participants), will also be conducted. Because there is no general parking available on the day, visitors are encouraged to come by bicycle or on foot. This festa is a wonderful opportunity to deepen interactions among local residents.
