Held at Funasaka Satoyama Gakko, a former elementary school infused with nostalgic charm in Funasaka, Yamaguchi-cho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, the Funasaka Marche & Fureai Plaza is an event where visitors can fully enjoy an autumn satoyama experience. At the venue, guests can savor a diverse selection of local foods, including fresh Funasaka vegetables and processed specialties, handmade soba noodles made with Funasaka buckwheat flour, charcoal-roasted sweet potatoes, oden, yakisoba, hamburgers, galettes, and fried bread (agepan). Freshly brewed coffee, tea, craft cola, and other refreshments will also be available. Interactive activities include log-sawing, woodworking crafts, an eraser-stamp workshop, model trains and paper crafts, art displays and merchandise sales, a mini-concert, and tours of the traditional folk house Re-Minka LAB. With a meet-and-greet with the character Miyatan also scheduled, the event is packed with fun for the whole family. Admission is free, though food and beverages within the venue are charged. Please note that parking requires advance lottery registration. Access is also possible via Sakura Yamanami Bus or Hankyu Bus.
