At 'Moppen 2026,' a community-integrated open factory event held in Nishiwaki City and Taka Town, Hyogo Prefecture from November 26 to 28, 2026, 31 participating businesses/organizations and 8 hands-on experience booth businesses/organizations will open their usually private manufacturing sites to the public for free. In this region where diverse local industries such as textiles, manufacturing, agriculture, and traditional crafts have thrived, you can take a look behind the scenes of craftsmanship and connect with the artisans' passion. The event is structured around four ways to enjoy: 'Touring the Town,' 'Workplace Tours,' 'Hands-on Experiences & Workshops,' and 'Eating & Shopping.' While touring around the towns surrounded by rich nature, you can enjoy unique experiences, specially crafted gourmet food, and products available only here. Admission is free, though some paid programs are also prepared. The announcement of programs and start of reservations will be made on the official website in early October.
