Miki Castle Summer Campaign 2026 Symposium: Siege Defense x Siege Warfare

This symposium closely examines and deeply considers various castle sieges, centered on the Battle of Miki where the Hashiba brothers (Hideyoshi and Hidenaga) and Nagaharu Bessho fought fiercely, from the perspectives of branch castles (tsukijiro) and encampment castles (jinjiro). Explanations will be provided incorporating expert knowledge regarding the strategies and tactics of siege warfare in the Sengoku period. It will be a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of the historical background of the Battle of Miki and what castle sieges and defense were like at the time.
