The "10th Nakase Gold Mine Festival" will be held at the Yabu City Nakase Gold Mine Sekisho Plaza in Nakase, Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture. This festival is an event where visitors can experience history at the Nakase Gold Mine Sekisho (barrier station) while enjoying various activities and gourmet food. Inside the Sekisho building, panels on history, native gold, and minerals will be exhibited, while mining minecarts and mining stone mortars can be viewed at Sekisho Plaza. Visitors can participate in hands-on activities such as gold panning (paid), a 5-temple pilgrimage stamp rally (with rewards), and a guided mining town walking tour (free). In addition, food and drink booths serving coffee, Kanayamayaki, Okina takoyaki, ramen, long fries, and more will be available to satisfy visitors' appetites. The Nakase Gold Mine Sekisho is also designated as a Japan Heritage site, providing a deep look into the local history and culture.
