About this event
Kashihara City Agriculture Festival 2026 is an autumn event held in front of the Outer Haiden (Worship Hall) of Kashihara Jingu Shrine, celebrating local agricultural bounties. Local producers will offer a wide selection of fresh vegetables, flowers, processed agricultural goods, and organic produce. Produce from young farmers in sister city Miyazaki City and seafood from Taiki Town in Mie Prefecture will also be available. Family-friendly activities abound, including goldfish scooping, an insect interaction zone, and a new vegetable repotting workshop where visitors can bring home potted plants to cultivate. Photo spots featuring real agricultural tractors, lucky raffles for every 500 yen spent, and food sales including udon noodles and mitarashi dango will be available. Produce from the previous day's agricultural judging contest will also be on sale. Marking its 54th edition, this long-standing annual tradition continues to foster local production and consumption.
