📅 Sat, Oct 24, 2026 - Mon, Nov 30, 2026

About this event

To solicit donations for the major restoration of the World Heritage and National Treasure Niomon Gate at Kinpusen-ji Temple, a special public unveiling of the three secret principal images of Kongozaho Daigongen at the World Heritage and National Treasure Main Hall (Zaodo) of Kinpusen-ji Temple will be held. This offers an opportunity to form a deep connection with the principal deities. Viewing hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, though entry into the hall may be temporarily restricted due to Buddhist memorial services or ceremonies. The special admission fee is 1,600 yen for adults, 1,200 yen for junior high and high school students, and 800 yen for elementary school students (group discounts available). In addition, an art exhibition titled "Thinking of the Ancients" by painter Taiji Matsuda, who designs the Kinpusen-ji calendar, will be held concurrently at the Zaodo Okuden Honjido Hall.
