At Tenkawa Daibenzaitensha Shrine, enshrined in Tenkawa Village, Nara Prefecture, the New Calendar Chrysanthemum Festival (Choyo-setsu Sai) will be held on September 9, 2026. The ceremony begins at 11:00 AM, featuring a sacred musical performance (Otodama Honou) dedicated by singer-songwriter Asuka Hayashi. Since ancient times, the Double Ninth Festival (Choyo no Sekku) has been known as a seasonal festival to ward off evil spirits and pray for longevity. In this sacred setting, accompanied by a special dedicatory performance, it will be an opportunity to quietly celebrate this seasonal milestone. As this is a Shinto sacred ritual, video recording is strictly prohibited.
