About this event

"Let's Feed the Fish," held at the Wakayama Prefectural Museum of Natural History, is a valuable opportunity to directly feed creatures in the tanks and experience part of a curator's work. Through this event, participants can observe the backstage of the aquariums normally not visible, and see up close how the fish eat their food. Through the feeding experience, participants can deepen knowledge that is not usually known, such as the ecology of fish living in the large tank of the Museum of Natural History and how curators prepare food. It is open to elementary school students and older, and elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian. The capacity is 15 people, and museum admission is required to participate. This experience will serve as an excellent opportunity to stimulate children's intellectual curiosity and deepen their understanding of nature.
