Walking with a Storyteller: 13th World Heritage Koyasan Choishi Michi Walk

About this event
This is a walking event to experience the rich nature and precious cultural heritage of the World Heritage site Koyasan Choishi Michi. The event aims to promote the sound upbringing of youth, foster local community building, and contribute to tourism promotion and regional revitalization. Starting from JR Koyaguchi Station, participants walk an approximately 10km course passing Jison-in Temple, Niukanshofu Shrine, and Ropponsugi to Niutsuhime Shrine. An experienced storyteller will accompany the walk and explain the history and culture along the way, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the charms of the Koyasan Choishi Michi. Participants receive the storyteller guide and a participation prize as benefits. On the day, participants must bring drinks, towels, rain gear, supplementary food/snacks, hats, and wear comfortable athletic clothing. Photographs and videos taken during the event may be published in project reports, websites, social media, etc., and participants join upon agreeing to this condition.
