Held at the Arida City Local History Museum, the "Fiscal Year 2026 Local History Museum Summer Vacation Workshop" offers hands-on experiences perfect for summer vacation craft projects. In the "Magatama Making" activity, participants can carve and polish stone with files to create their own original comma-shaped bead. In the "Casting Experience", participants can melt metal and pour it into molds to make a miniature replica selected from a mirror, dotaku (bronze bell), doto (bronze halberd), or ancient coin. Because tools are used, participating in clothes that can get dirty is recommended. Children in lower elementary school grades and younger require an accompanying guardian. This workshop provides a valuable opportunity for everyone from children to adults to experience history and craftsmanship.
