The Reiwa 8 (2026) Gender Equality Lecture will be held on Saturday, August 22, at the Kainan Civic Exchange Center Fureai Hall as a rescheduled event for June 27, which was cancelled due to bad weather. Welcoming Keiko Kojima, who is active on television and radio, as the lecturer under the title "You Can Live This Way or That: What is a Happy Society Where We Accept Differences?", the talk will explore concepts of "masculinity" and "femininity" found in our daily lives. While engaging with various perspectives, it provides an opportunity to think together about a society where everyone can live in peace regardless of generation. On the day of the lecture, baked goods and other items from support facilities for persons with disabilities will be sold in the entrance hall. Admission is free, but advance reservations are required to use the temporary childcare service.
