44th Kibun Festival

Arida City will host the '44th Kibun Festival' in fiscal year 2026 (Reiwa 8). While usually held in August, this year's schedule has been shifted to the October harvest season to widely promote the appeal of Arida mikan mandarin oranges both inside and outside the city. On Saturday, October 24, the 'Arida Hometown Delicious Food Festival' will be held in the Civic Hall parking lot, and the civic musical 'Tokijiku no Kagu no Konomi' will be performed at Kibun Hall. In addition, a camping event will take place on the Arida River banks, and the 'Minoshima Street Fest with Beer' will be held along Minoshima Station Street. On Sunday, October 25, hands-on experience events such as an agricultural heritage tour and Arida River activities will take place, while the 'Arida Mikan Marche' and 'Arida Dining' will liven up the area in front of Minoshima Station. On-stage performances of the Kibun Festival will be held at the Yasashi Bridge North End intersection, and food and retail stalls will line the area in front of City Hall. At night, a drone show featuring 500 drones and 3,000 fireworks launched over the Arida River banks will mark the festival's finale. Special viewing seats for the fireworks and drone show are also scheduled to be sold.
