About this event
The "33rd Ohto Chikyu Genki Mura" is a 2-day event held in the Ohto district of Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, where people connect with nature and local communities to bridge toward the future. Marking its 33rd year, the event features cleanup activities to protect the environment surrounding the World Heritage Kumano Kodo. Following the cleanup, stage events, kitchen cars, and hands-on programs for both children and adults are prepared, with a fireworks display planned for the evening. It is an opportunity to spend a heartwarming time aimed at giving thanks to nature, interacting with local residents, and passing down beautiful scenery to the future. By participating in activities alongside locals while experiencing the rich nature of the Kumano Kodo and Tonda River, participants can gain a renewed appreciation for the importance of living in harmony with nature.
