Jofu Park Blue Light-Up

About this event

The 'Jofu Park Blue Light-Up' will be held at Jofu Park in Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture. In this event, Chinese-style structures such as the 'Romon' gate, the symbol of Jofu Park, are illuminated in blue. Inside the park, there are Tendai-uyaku (Lindera strychnifolia), a statue of Jofu, his tomb, and the Pond of Eternal Youth (Furo-no-Ike). This blue light-up is held in conjunction with the 'International Day of Sign Languages' on September 23, in reference to blue illuminations being held around the world to represent world peace. The illumination is scheduled for nighttime, allowing visitors to enjoy a mystical atmosphere.
