About this event
Held in Kinokawa City, "Sports Festival 2026" is an event designed to deepen interaction among citizens through sports. Anyone who lives, works, or attends school in the city can participate, with various competitions and activities available. At the main venue, Kinokawa Civic Park Multipurpose Ground (Uchita Wakamono Hiroba), visitors can enjoy a relay marathon and experience new sports (Molkky, kick target, strikeout, sponge ball tennis). In addition, Kinokawa Civic Gymnasium will host a Fruit Karuta Tournament, health exercises/health physical fitness tests, and hexathlon. In the relay marathon, all participants aim to break the full marathon world record together. The Fruit Karuta Tournament is a team competition where 3-person teams compete for karuta cards, featuring elementary school and family divisions. The health exercises and physical fitness tests are conducted to maintain and improve health. The hexathlon is a program that helps children acquire basic motor skills through play and encourages the development of thinking, judgment, and communication abilities. Furthermore, numerous concurrent sports events will be held on the same day, including free open access to training facilities, a Ladies Veteran Tournament, Kendo Training Tournament, Civic Badminton Tournament, Kenko Raku-raku Qigong Tai Chi Open Class, Ground Golf Exchange Tournament, and Park Golf Beginners' Tournament. This festival offers a day to experience the joy of sports and contribute to improving health and fostering interaction among local residents.
