About this event
This festival aims to preserve and pass down Jizo-bon, a traditional event in Yonago, while praying for the revival of the clear stream of the Kamogawa River. Jizo-bon is sometimes referred to as the Japanese version of Halloween, with a custom where children walk around receiving snacks from local residents. Held along the Kamogawa River basin, it is an event where local residents and visitors can enjoy together as one. As a summer tradition, it celebrates community-rooted culture and the blessings of nature.
