The Sakura Orochi Lake Festival 2026, held in Unnan City, Shimane Prefecture, is a lively event that brightens the autumn lakeside. Around the Sakura Orochi Lake Rowing Facility venue, a wide variety of activities for adults and children will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. On the main stage, performances by the Yokota High School brass band, an opening ceremony, Tsukiya Kagura, Mitoya Taiko, and TEAM Waon Tensho will be showcased. There will also be an exhibition of winning works from the 12th Sakura Orochi Lake Photo Contest, along with roughly 20 gourmet food stalls featuring local ingredients. Furthermore, various hands-on corners such as free kayak trials, free regatta trials, run bikes, medaka (Japanese rice fish) scooping, and kite making/flying will keep visitors entertained. Animal petting experiences are also planned at nearby Sakura Orochi Ranch and Dam View Ranch, offering content that the entire family can enjoy all day long. In the pleasant autumn weather, this is a prime opportunity to fully enjoy the unique local food, culture, and nature alongside the scenic views of Sakura Orochi Lake.
